Saying Goodbye

It so hard for me to believe it has been just over a week since the memorial service for my friend Amy.  It was beautiful, if that can be said for a memorial service. Friends gathered in a room filled with pictures of Amy and her pets. I have had a very difficult time dealing with the circumstances of her accident. Sometime after midnight on January 24th she lost control of her car, struck a phone pole on the right side of the road, crossed to the left side and struck a bridge support causing her car to burst into flames. She had to be cut from her vehicle and the firefighters found her faithful furry friend Calvin lying in her lap. I was told she did not suffer and I know she is with our Lord and Savior now. I just can not grasp why terrible things happen to good people.
I am very blessed to have known her. I have many wonderful memories of my sweet friend. Thank you Amy for all the talks and all the laughs.

  1. Kimberly, Sorry to hear about your friend. She was a beautiful young lady. We've lost two family members to car accidents in the last 15 months. One was my 22 year old nephew. We lost him Thanksgiving weekend! I've asked myself the same question, "why do terrible things happen to good people". Only God knows but isn't it comforting to know that we will see them again someday? I'll keep you in my prayers! I know what you are going through! ~Hugs~, Kim

  2. So sad to lose someone so young. My heart and prayers go out to you and her family. How fitting that her beloved fur baby was there to be called home with her.
