Wow! I promise not to make a habit of  doing two posts a day! But I couldn't help myself this time. I wanted to show everyone my "Spring Thyme" x-stitch  from Simple Goodes Stitched by Jennifer. I finished a couple weeks ago but took a while to get it tea stained and find the right frame. I found this one at Hobby Lobby unfinished for 30% off. I painted it midnight blue and distressed it but it looks black in the picture.  I loved the post Jen did showing that her sister, Heather, did hers with a red bird and since that is my husbands favorite bird I decided to do mine that way. I love how it turned out. I found the basket hanging above the x-stitch at Salvation Army for only .59 cents. I've already ordered Jen's new patterns and am working on those now. It has been another busy off day. The usual stops at the local thrift shops, Aldi, JoAnn's to get Ashton these cute zebra print ankle socks, Hobby Lobby for my frame, Food Lion to order my stepson Jason's transformer birthday cake (he turns ten tomorrow), oil for the truck and now home to finish laundry, house cleaning. Whew, no time to rest. It will soon be time to pick Ashton up at school take her for a quick bit to eat then back to school at six for her softball game. Tuesday's off are always like this it seems and Sunday's off are spent with the family and relaxing. I wouldn't have it any other way. Oops! I think the dryer just shut off, time to get back to the housework!
Till next time,

  1. Your framed stitchery looks great and I DO love it with the red bird. I have mine stitched but have not framed or pillowed it yet. Not sure which I want to do. Girl, you have got a lot going on today, but it is evident you love it that way. Make lots of memories and keep sharing your goodies with us.
